Small Bektashi star (Teslim Tasi), Ottoman, circa 1900 or earlier. Haci Bektas stone:

This stone comes from a Bektashi family in Istanbul. These 12-sided stones, called Teslim Tasi, play an important role in Bektashi culture. They were worn as pendants. Their twelve corners represent the twelve imams. The front symbolizes Allah (s.c.) and the back symbolizes the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.).
